Louie's Pizza and Italian Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
There were four of us and we were seated right away. A server brought us water and asked what we'd like to drink. The drinks came, but then we didn't see the server again for about 15 minutes. Once our order was taken, the rest of the dinner was excellent. The food is absolutely outstanding and for what you get, including the neverending garlic bread, the prices are fair by today's standards. I would definitely recommend. I think we probably just caught the servers on an off day or some such thing. At least I hope so.
Our server, Connor, was AMAZING. He was so kind & helpful. The food was great! I loved the chicken, veggie & rice soup! We also got fettuccine alfredo, & pizza.
Louis has been a true staple within my family for decades. Not only is their story a great one, their food and service is outstanding. This has always been a family owned and ran establishment from way back and even though there is only one location left, it is still closely ran within this tight nit family. Every last Friday of the month before a HOG meeting, my parents and I have been going for years. They get their multi-meat pizza with salads and I get their tortellini with what I call and have always called “pink sauce”, extra pink sauce. Myself and both brothers have at one point worked at their downtown Boise location, which has now been closed for some time, yet even then and now when I order “extra pink sauce”, there’s no hesitation of exactly what I want. Myself mom and I have been many places and have had the taste of several clam chowders, even on the coat, yet this place has th best by far clam chowders we’ve ever had. This has and will always be a tradition we will take advantage of until either we are gone or there is no longer a place to go. If in fat you have had a bad or not so great experience, I hope you will go back and give them a chance. No one restaurant is perfect, but as far as I am concerned, for the past 3 decades, this one pretty close. Unfortunately there are no photos at this time as I was too excited to dive in. Next time perhaps, will be the last Friday of the month!
We had the BEST experience working with Louie's. I've had large business meetings in their banquet room, I've recommended them for rehearsal dinner spaces, and this time, they catered a wedding for one of my couples. They were so easy to work with and very much customer service forward. Their food was so delicious. They came out to our event downtown, set up, served, and cleaned up and were very nice, very kind, very efficient, and truly wonderful and easy to work with.
We picked up a huge order and the bread sticks were missing. However, Louie's came through with shining colors. We all make mistakes and they made it more than right for us. Thank you for the great food and service!
Fabulous lunch, portion size is insane, the food is amazing. The garlic bread is hard to put down and even harder to not eat a second ro third piece. Eggplant parm was so good, lasagna excellent, antipasta misto was HUGE and great offerings (smoked salmon, cheese, artichoke, sun dried tomatoes and salami, crab ravioli beautiful and on the sweet side. If you are craving Italian do not miss this place!
Such a fun restaurant with a cool vibe. Awesome service from everyone we spoke with. But the food was amazing!! We had the family style meal with salads, garlic bread, pizza, and 3 types of pasta. Everything we tried was flavorful and there portion sizes were well worth the price. Can't wait to try desserts next time, we were too full this time around. We will be back!!
I love the pizza here and it is always very good, but I wanted to try something different, so I ordered salmon. It was good but a little overcooked and could have used some sort of sauce with it. My husband ordered the Italian Calzone and he said it was good! Ive been there before and the music was Italian sounding, but they had a Classic Rock station on, and I like the more authentic sounding music. Overall, a nice meal! Will definitely go back again!
